Climate change, hurricanes, tsunamis… The oceans are getting warmer thus, several species will disappear… However species have disappeared from Earth since the beginning of time… We are just one more specie. Too arrogant sometimes to see that truth: We are just one more specie of zillions of species that have been, are and there will be on our Earth. We are not more, we are not less… We are just one more specie.
We are not invincible. But nature is… because it thrives in whichever circumstances.
We are not destroying it. We are changing it.
Life will evolve and adapt to this changes. But its evolution could carry our extinction.
All we do has a consequence… But the consequence will be on us, on our children and grandchildren, on our future.
In a zillion years Earth could be a very different planet, and life could be a series of mutations from what we know now… But it will be here. We might not.
Who told us we are here to stay? Who told us that we can threat Nature?
We are threatening ourselves, our survival, our specie. The war is not against the planet, is against our own survival.
Cut the mangroves… And our food source is affected. Nature will thrive and will find other ways to re-start somewhere… But we won’t.
Cur the rain forests and oxygen may falter and a whole chain of events will happen… but Nature will thrive and find a way to survive with a new atmosphere. We won’t.
We are fragile, we are weak. And yet we are dangerous to ourselves.
We are not killing Nature. We are committing suicide.
