The Hideaway Hotel
The Hideaway Hotel is located on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica’s Guanacaste region, in Samara, about a 2-hour drive (107 km or 66.5 miles) south of the Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia, or about 4 hours (227 km or 141 miles) west of the Juan Santamaría International Airport in San Jose. Samara is a laidback town located on a crescent-shaped strip of beach that is lined with palm trees. It is easily reached by paved road, and a daily bus connects to San José. Samara has a wide selection of restaurants and bars for guests to enjoy, as well as banks, supermarkets, souvenir shops, and local artisans.
The highlight of this area is the beach. An offshore coral reef protects the bay, which results in calm waters that are great for swimming and snorkeling. The bay area is home to hundreds of marine species such as stingrays, dolphins, sea turtles, and tropical fish.
