Tambor Beach, with its calm waters of a turquoise hue, are perfect for swimming. The shallow waters are exceedingly calm and offer good swimming for even the most reticent of bathers. With its horseshoe shape, it opens up to the always serene Ballena Bay.
This pristine beach is surrounded by high bluffs and boasts dark grey sand, courtesy of its volcanic origin. Low tide results in a broad expanse of fine sand where visitors can play beach volley ball and soccer. In addition, Tambor’s clear waters are teeming with underwater life, making for great snorkeling and scuba diving.
Although a range of hotels can be found in the area, large luxury resorts (including all-inclusive options) are the most common kind of accommodation in Tambor, offering activities such as tennis and golf.
