Rincon de la Vieja trails are some of the most diverse and beautiful trails in Costa Rica. They have huge trees, gorgeous waterfalls, volcanic activity, rainforest and dry forest altogether in a couple hours hike.
One of the things though, that discourage many people from recommending the trails is the fact that they are not conditioned for all visitors and you have to climb through roots in some sections and in some other areas you have to go across creeks by the stones or on trunk made bridges without any fences.
Now, all of that is coming to an end as they are creating a new trail with bridges and much easier walking paths. This trails are going to be built during the following seven months, starting on August 24th, 2015 and up until March 2016.
There might be some interference between the construction of the trails and the tourism arriving in the National Park which is why the National Park is asking for patience and understanding of the different guidelines that the park guards are going to be giving every day.
As this whole process will take place in part of the High Season we want all our clients to acknowledge that as passengers arrive in the Park there might be situations that may delay the entrance to Las Pailas Trails.
