3. What’s your favorite región in Costa Rica and why?
Cahuita in the South Caribbean. It has a great vibe, it is magical, it feels like good karma. It has not change throughout the years and that makes it invaluable.
4. What’s your favorite tour guiding story?
One day in the surroundings of La Sabana Park and starting a city tour, I decided to pass by the Art Museum (The nowadays Costa Rican Art Museum used to be the old international airport) While this was happening a lady started to cry, I went on showing the museum, although, of course I was quite concerned about this lady’s well-being.
As I finished, and when we moved to the National Theater, she approached and explained me that her father was in the U.S. army and they were in Panama when Pearl Harbor happened. She was moved with her family through the Costa Rican airport and in that trip she met the love of her life. She actually met him in that same building, they were married for 45 years and he had just passed away before this trip.
This changed the way I see tours and their transcendence in people’s lives.
