Rain forest waterfall rappelling
During this exciting tour you will find yourself rappelling down waterfalls in a river canyon.
There are four rappels available, ranging from 18mts/59ft. to 50mts/164ft. in height. Well-kept trails will lead you from waterfall to waterfall down the canyon. All top of the line equipment and lunch are included.
During this exciting tour you will explore the secrets that lie hidden in the depths of a rainforest river canyon. Pure Trek Canyoning has been leading this new multi-sport since 2001 when they made the first descent ever, rappelling and hiking, into the local canyon.
You will picked up at your La Fortuna/Arenal area hotel and transferred on 4×4 vehicles to Pure Trek’s ranch (30mins away). Your guides will impart a safety talk, detailing all safety measures, before gearing you up. After a short trek to the first waterfall, you will begin your adventure. There are four rappels available throughout the tour, ranging from 18mts/59ft. to 50mts/164ft. in height. All are guaranteed to get your heart pumping! Well-kept trails will lead you from waterfall to waterfall down the canyon.
Once you have finished your run, you will hike out of the canyon and be transferred back to base on a truck. Here a delicious lunch will be waiting for you. After your meal, you will be taken back to your hotel.

Is it really safe?
All of the adventure guides are trained in Wilderness First Aid and CPR as well as in the procedures used in rock climbing and rope course operation. The construction of anchors and rappel lines meet the requirements as set by the Rock climbing industry and a group of engineers from Linea Vertical. Daily safety checks are preformed on all systems and equipment.
Can I take my camera?
Yes, we carry dry bags for cameras, wallets, and other things passengers may carry.
All participants on this tour should be physically fit. We do not recommend you participate if you have preexisting conditions or injuries, are pregnant or have back or neck issues. Please consult your doctor if you are unsure whether this activity is suitable for you.
