Hallett Peak can be climbed any time of the year. You start from Bear Lake and follow the Flattop Mountain trail for 4.4 miles, climbing 2,849' to an elevation of 12,326'. This is a great trail and I highly recommend it. I did it on a clear but windy day but the wind got better as I got to the top.
