Osa Peninsula and Corcovado Hotels
The Osa Peninsula is the second largest peninsula in the country. It is also home to Corcovado National Park, the largest protected area in the country. According to National Geographic, it is โthe most intense biologically active area in the world.โ This peninsula is also home to the Osa Animal Sanctuary, which works towards the protection and rehabilitation of mistreated, injured, orphaned, and confiscated animals. Visitors to the peninsula have to fly in, travel by boat, or drive all away around to Puerto Jimenez in order to get there. This remoteness has maintained a pristine, uncrowded tranquility that isnโt found in many places around the world.
