One million visitors from the United States alone in 2015 in a new milestone!
U.S. visitors this year accounted for 40% of all tourists arrivals in Costa Rica.
This record was celebrated at the Juan Santamaria airport on Friday, with the arrival of Joel and Kristine Kratochvil and their three daughters: Anna, Leah y Jenna. The trip was the Washington state family’s first visit to the country, tourism officials said.
Tourism officials said that an improved US economy contributed to the historic milestone.
