The Costa Rican airline Sansa is starting its first international service next month with flights to Nicaragua’s Emerald Coast, near Granada, San Juan del Sur and NIcaragua’s Lake Ometepe Island.
Flights will depart from the Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) and land at the new Costa Esmeralda Airport, 17 kilometers from Rivas in the Southwest part of Nicaragua. Some flights will stop at the Daniel Oduber International Airport (LIR) to continue to Nicaragua.
The new flights will operate five days a week, Thursday through Monday, starting Nov. 14.
“Sansa is proud to present its first international destination, expanding our network of flights to a total of 13 destinations, now including the Nicaraguan Pacific Coast,” said Mario Zamora, Sansa’s general manager.
