(B, L) Today after a delicious Costa Rican typical breakfast at the hotel, a local representative will pick you up and take you to Calle Chirraca, a small, modest, yet lush place near the town of Turrialba, where the adventurous Tour Canyoning & Canopy tour begins. The equipment for this activity: ropes, harnesses and carabineers (same tools that are used in rock-climbing).
We begin the Canyoning tour with an introduction of our guides and the equipment to help familiarize you with the different uses of the equipment. The tour includes 8 cross-sectional cables that together have a total length of 1.7 miles with distances from 100 to 2460 feet, and with a maximum height of 660 feet, which exceed the treetops providing a panoramic view of the Arenal volcano and lake.
