Catie Botanical Garden

- You will appreciate a variety of tropical plants from distinct parts of the world. The plantations of major relevance are: coffee, cocoa, pejibayes, tropical fruit, and forest species.
- You will learn about the significant contributions CATIE has made towards the research and education of tropical agriculture.
- You will also enjoy a stroll through CATIE’s special Botanical Garden. Here you will find the century old kapok tree, towering stalks of bamboo, dripping orchids, and bromeliads hanging from the trees as well many other colourful as well as fruit plants.
This tour will take you on a visit to CATIE (Tropical Agricultural Centre for Research and Higher Education).
