What’s your favorite region of Costa Rica and why?
Tortuguero, because of the amount of life that you find in the place and how different it is from the rest of the country. You can see everything from the canals and people always come out really satisfied with their visit.
What’s your favorite guiding story?
In one of my first tours, with birdwatchers, we were missing one person at the airport arrivals area, we waited and waited until the airport staff brought a lady who was blind. For a birdwatching tour!
It was so gratifying! as the lady knew all the sounds and she could see the birds through their song. A lot of the birds could not be seen, however, between her hearing and my eyes we ended up with quite an impressive list.
Do you have a favorite animal or bird? Something that has a special meaning for you?
