Requirements to plan your wedding in Costa Rica (brief notes)

Some documents may take some time to be authenticated; therefore, Camino Travel recommends you to follow the procedures with sufficient time in advance.

Documents required from your country of origin:

1. The Birth certificate of both the bride and groom, authenticated by the Costa Rican Consul at the place of expedition or the closest place to your residence.
2. Civil State Certification, properly authenticated by the Consul of Costa Rica in the expedition place or the closest place. Important! If one or both are divorced, the name of the previous husband/wife is required, as well as the date and place where the divorce took place, the issuing authority and a copy of the divorce certificate.
3. The original passport and a photocopy.
4. Information about the witnesses: name, civil state, nationality, occupation and passport number.
