Volcán Irazú
The Irazú Volcano, at an altitude of 3,432 m (11,260 ft), has been called "The power keg of Nature", aptly named for its powerful and sublime eruptions during the 1960's. The region is both awesome and beautiful with dramatic craters at the summit, awe-inspiring rock formations, and the lush vegetation that surrounds the roads to the volcano.
