¡A perfect introduction for first-time visitors! This package takes you to all of Costa Rica's major tourist attractions. It includes visits to Arenal and Poás Volcanoes, La Fortuna Region, Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge, La Fortuna Waterfalls, Monteverde region and Rincón de la Vieja.
Day 1: Meet & Greet:
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be assisted inside the terminal. Then transferred to your hotel. Overnight at hotel Colonial.
Day 2: Departure to the Arenal Volcano with optional visit to Poás Volcano on the way:
(B) A hired will be handle to you at the hotel so you can drive to the Arenal region. You will have the opportunity to visit Poás Volcano National Park on the way (optional). Poás, located about 1.5 hours away from San José, is an active volcano featuring one of the largest craters in the world with a diameter of 1.5 Km. A short hike through the nearby evergreen tropical cloud forest leads you to Botos Lagoon, the crater of a now inactive volcano. After that visit continue through beautiful landscape to Arenal, passing by the towns of San Miguel, Aguas Zarcas and Muelle. Overnight at San Bosco.
Day 3:
Arenal
(B) Day of leisure or optional activities (not included) such as: hike to Arenal Volcano National Park, horseback ride to La Fortuna Waterfalls, boat tour to the Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge, visit to the hot springs in the surrounding area, canopy tour, white water rafting, mountain biking, hike to Cerro Chato, Arenal Rainforest Reserve and Sky Tram

Day 4: Departure to Monteverde.
(B) After breakfast you will drive to Monteverde along roads with breathtaking views of the Gulf of Nicoya and the islands below. An upward road leads to this forest-covered site whose name, which means "Green Mountain", is most appropriate to introduce visitors to the wildlife sanctuary it preserves. Overnight at Cabañas Los Pinos.
Day 5:
Monteverde
(B) Free day in Monteverde. This sprawling agricultural community, on a secluded 1400-meter high plateau, was founded in 1951 by a group of American Quakers. The founding fathers were environmentally conscious and in 1972 they established a large wildlife sanctuary in Monteverde whose fame attracts an ever-increasing number of birdwatchers and nature lovers from all over the world. Optional activities available in the area (not included) are: visits to Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve or Santa Elena Forest Reserve, the Butterfly Garden, the Hummingbird Gallery, the Cheese Factory, the Sky Walk, the Children’s Eternal Forest, etc.

Day 6: Departure to Rincón de la Vieja
(B) Today you will drive from Monteverde to the Rincón de la Vieja region. This is one of the most unique areas in the country. Combining tropical dry forest with enchanting waterfalls, the area is characterized by a very extensive variety of volcanic activities, such as bubbling mud pots, hot springs and steaming vents in the earth.
Overnight at Hacienda Guachipelín.
Day 7:
Rincón de la Vieja
(D) Hiking and trekking tours of different difficulty levels, as well as visits to a natural spa and rainforest waterfalls are available on an optional basis.

Today drive to San José International Airport to connect with your flight back home. Or extend your holiday in Costa Rica and stay a couple of days on one of the nearby beaches of the Pacific Coast!
