Coffee is a tradition followed by many families since its arrival to Costa Rica by 1820. At Don Juan Coffee Tour you will learn about our Golden Bean and the complete process followed from the seed to the tasteful and delicious beverage preferred by many of us.
The specialized guides will point out the most important aspects of coffee, its harvest and processing. They’ll take you through the history of this crop from its beginnings in the Arab African countries and Ethiopia, and they’ll highlight the importance that the “golden bean” (grano de oro) has had in the social, cultural and economic development of Costa Rica.
At the traditional house, you’ll enjoy a friendly atmosphere and the delicious, seductive aroma of one of the best coffees in the world. Along with your exquisite cup of coffee, you can try one of our typical snacks. Finally, you can purchase a wide variety of fresh roasted and packaged coffee.
What to bring: Long pants, jacket, rain gear, camera.
