TOURS FROM ARENAL
Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge boat tour
Departing from La Fortuna, you will be heading for the Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge. Agriculture being an important economic resource for the area, you will pass by croplands, such as cassava, papaya and citrus fruits along the way.
You will be received with a welcome cocktail, and have a chance to use the toilets. Afterwards, you can choose either to be taken by bus or walk through the Caño Negro town to the main dock where you will board the boat. You will be traveling for about 2 hours in the main lagoon and the adjacent canals, looking for wildlife such as monkeys, water birds and reptiles.
Back to the main dock and the lodge, lunch will be ready for you. After the delicious meal, your transportation will take you back to your hotel in La Fortuna to relax for the rest of the afternoon.
