Expedition to the Chato Hill
If you are keen to walk along mountains and hills, you will surely love this tour. Your journey will begin in La Fortuna, where a car will take you to the Arenal Observatory Lodge. Once there, you will begin your hike toward the summit of the Chato Hill through a very dense primary forest. At the top of this now extinct volcano, you will have the opportunity to visit the lagoon. You will certainly enjoy the breathtaking views of the San Carlos Valley and of the Arenal Volcano as you start your descent towards La Fortuna Waterfalls. After a refreshing swim you will return to La Fortuna by car. Important: The walking time lasts approximately 45 hours of steep trail hiking. This tour is recommended for people in good physical shape.
