FLORA & FAUNA TOURS

Birdwatching

Observe wild bird species in their natural habitat. More than 850 different species of birds have been identified by local ornithologists and by scientists from all over the world in Costa Rica. Every year, many people travel to Costa Rica just to enjoy the magic and challenge of spotting birds in the treetops of the dense forests. The country's high altitude regions, such as Savegre and Monteverde, are home of quetzals and hummingbirds; the low, damp areas of Caño Negro and Palo Verde are the best places to admire different kinds of herons; and with a little luck you might get to see the Scarlet Macaws in the Carara and Corcovado National Parks.
