FLORA & FAUNA TOURS
Aerial Tram
The most relaxing option for observing the forest canopy. Ride a suspended cable car through the top of the rain forest. The Aerial Tram permits its visitors to enjoy a unique ecosystem through the rainforest's canopy (upper tree levels that host an amazing variety of wildlife - some of which hardly descends to the ground). Some of the best Aerial Tram adventures are in Jaco on the Pacific, and in Braulio Carrillo National Park in the Caribbean.
RAINFOREST AERIAL TRAM: Located just 50 minutes away from San José - adjacent to the Braulio Carrillo National Park - the Aerial Tram permits its visitors to enjoy a unique ecosystem through the rainforest's canopy (upper tree levels that host an amazing variety of wildlife - some of which hardly descends to the ground). The tram will take you on a 90-minute excursion for a unique way to view flora and fauna from the treetops.
PACIFIC FOREST
AERIAL TRAM: This is a 90-hectare private property
that hosts small waterfalls and amazing views of the ocean.
A system of open-air gondolas has been built to safely take
you over the forest canopy. Upon arrival, you will first watch
a video on what have been the efforts to protect the rainforest
in Costa Rica. Afterwards, you will get on the gondolas, where
for approximately 40 minutes you will enjoy the forest from
a different perspective. Then, you will visit a Medicinal
Plants Garden, where you will learn about the uses and characteristics
of medicinal and aromatic plants and spices. You will continue
to the Heliconia Gallery, a collection of the most colorful
flowers in the rainforest. Afterwards, enjoy a snake exhibition
along a nature trail.
