This fine and exclusive beachfront hotel is located in Tamarindo, in a quiet section of this North-Pacific beach and surrounded by beautiful gardens. The hotel can be reached by ground transportation (a 5-hour drive, 171 miles/274 km from San José), or by a 50-minute domestic flight.

Capitán Suizo has a total of 7 Bungalows, 22 rooms, 1 Honeymoon Suite, 1 beach house, 2 cabins, 2 basic guest rooms, and a 4-room apartment, all with private bathroom and hot water, air conditioning or ceiling fans, mini-bar, telephone, am/fm radio, safety deposit box, and a small refrigerator.

The bungalows have thatched roofs, and are separate from the hotel’s main building. They are furnished with one queen size bed and one futon sofa bed, large bathrooms/showers, and ceiling fan. The 22 rooms have either a terrace or a balcony.  All rooms have one queen size futon bed, along with either one queen size bed, or two single beds. The 11 rooms on the first floor have a/c, whereas those on the second floor have a fan (a/c is not absolutely necessary).  The apartment is located on the main building’s second floor. It has four bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one with a whirlpool), kitchen, large living room (with 5 ceiling fans), and a spacious balcony.  Other facilities and services include a bar, restaurant, swimming pool, laundry and room service, gift shop, parking, gym, and Internet connection. Among the activities offered by the hotel are horseback riding, snorkelling, kayaking, and sports fishing.

The Hotel El Milagro is located on the main street of Tamarindo Beach in Guanacaste on the country's North Pacific Coast. There are two ways of traveling to Tamarindo: flying from San Jose or traveling by car (4 hours, 300 Km/186 Km). The flight lasts approximately 50 minutes, and planes depart regularly every day to and from San Jose/Tamarindo.

The hotel has 32 rooms, all with a private bathroom, hot water, and either a ceiling fan or air conditioning. Some rooms have Cable TV and a safety deposit box. The hotel facilities include a small swimming pool, bar & restaurant, tourist information desk and safety deposit box located at the front desk. It is not a beach front hotel, but it is within around 50 meters (a 3-5 minute walk) from the beach and the ocean.

Some of the activities the area has to offer are surfing, horseback riding, fishing, tours to the mangroves and the nearby National Park Marino Las Baulas in Playa Grande. This park protects one of the most important nesting spots of the leatherback turtles, who come ashore in droves from October to February.

This French owned and managed hotel is located in Tamarindo, on the North-Pacific Coast of the country, about a 50-min flight and a 5-hour drive (274 km/171 miles) from San José on paved roads. The hotel is located 10 km/6miles south of Carrillo Beach on the North Pacific Coast about 256 km / 170 miles from San Jose.  It rests on a small hill, overlooking the ocean; the beach is located about 800 meters/ 2700 feet, downhill from the hotel. If you are traveling by your own means, you must first go towards Puntarenas (about 1:30-2 hour drive from San Jose), where you will take a 1 hour and 20 minutes boat ride on the Paquera Ferry across the Gulf of Nicoya. Harmony hotel is located in Playa Guiones, Nosara, approximately 6 hours from San José and 2 ½ hours from Liberia. The journey from San Jose to this beach is about 248 km/154 miles and takes about 6 hours. Should you prefer a shorter trip, regular one hour flights are available to and from San Jose/Nosara. The hotel is set on a hill about 40 meters above sea level, offering wonderful views of the coastline of Ostional, the mountains, and the river mouth from Rio Nosara.

Located in Samara Beach in the province of Guanacaste, some 4 hours from San José (250 Km / 155 miles). The hotel is situated near the beach, shops and restaurant on a main road. Buena Vista Lodge is a cattle raising “Hacienda” located on the foothills of the Rincón de La Vieja volcano, in the northern region of the Guanacaste province.  The lodge is approximately 31 Km/19 miles from Liberia (1 hr drive)- the province’s capital city - and about 4.5 – 5 hours, (250 km / 155 miles) from San José.

Cañon de la Vieja Lodge is located near the beautiful Rincón de la Vieja National Park. This park features an active volcano and a beautiful tropical dry forest full of wildlife.  The lodge lies just 20 minutes northwest of Liberia (18 Km, 11 miles), and about 240 kilometers from San Jose.

The Lodge offers 48 wood cabins each offering breathtaking views of the Colorado River Canyon and surrounding Mountains and equipped with two double beds, air conditioning, private bathroom, and hot water.  Facilities include restaurant and bar, patio area, Jacuzzi, swimming pool and gardens.  The lodge also encourages guests to fully appreciate the natural surroundings by offering activities such as horseback riding, canopy tours, birdwatching and whitewater rafting trips on the Colorado River with class 2-3 rapids.

The resort provides a total of 39 spacious luxury bungalows and villas that combine rustic charm with modern comforts. Hacienda Guachipelín Lodge is located at the foot of the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano, near the town of Curubande, in the province of Guanacaste about a 4 ½ hour drive from (240 km/ 150 miles) San Jose and a 30 minute drive from Liberia. The Hacienda borders the popular Rincón de la Vieja National Park, comprising 1600 hectares, which are used for both the conservation of the tropical dry forest, and as land for pasture and the reforestation of endangered species. The lodge has 18 Superior rooms and 32 Standard rooms, all with a private bathroom and hot running water, with two double beds, one double and one single bed, or three single beds, and a ceiling fan. The dining room and reception area are housed in a building that is over a century old, and is part of the original Hacienda, surrounded by lush gardens with wonderful views of the Rincon de la Vieja volcano.
