SENIORS

If you are in the golden years and you wish to enjoy life, there is nothing better than to spend time planning your deserved vacations, where resting and tranquility restitute the wearing the daily routine. With Camino Travel you will be able to know different destinations that Costa Rica offers to turn your vacations in an unforgettable experience.

Camino Travel wants to offer you a variety of options where tranquility, resting and security are mixed perfectly. Since Costa Rica is a destination that wants to adapt to the different needs of the population segments, and specially seniors, it is possible for you to free your adventurous spirit, enjoying and contributing to the improvement of your quality of life.

Some suggestions you should take into consideration for seniors:

  • If you consider it necessary, it is important that you take your time to arrive to the airport early.
  • Be sure to pack all your medicines for the whole trip and some extra doses in case you loose some pills. If you travel by plane, keep with you the original containers in case the airline loses your suitcases, in this way you will always have your medicine at hand. Also, remember that your medical insurance may not be valid in other countries. Review your insurance before traveling to find out its options.
  • Consider carefully the clothes you will need, but try not to pack too much. Think about the weather at the place where you will be staying and pack extra clothes for both hot and cold weather. A light sweater or a scarf can be of use in a windy afternoon o for restaurants or airplanes with air conditioning. Use a pair of comfortable shoes to walk.
  • If you suffer from allergies or any other medical condition, take your doctor's prescription with you, explaining your treatment; this can save your life. Keep your data about flight hours as well as names of the hotel to confirm your reservations. Remember, you are traveling to have fun, do not forget to do it!
  • Remember to have special precautions such as protection against the sun and the heat in tropical countries, due to risk of sunstroke and dehydration. During long transfers or flights, mainly for older people, it is convenient to do exercises to move according to the place (posture changes, walking to the restrooms, etc.).
