El Yüe

During this tour, you will have the chance to learn more about the families and way of life in the community of El Yue, an agro-ecological farm located 5kms from the town of Puerto Viejo on Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast.
The tour starts with an introduction to the families and the community. Since their way of life revolves around the planting of crops and their agro-eco farming, you will be a witness to the routine of their daily chores. Also, if you’d like, you can also take part in their activities by working in the local greenhouse at the end of the day. After cooking and eating dinner, you’ll spend the night within the community, mingling with its inhabitants.
After breakfast the next morning, your day starts with a trek or a bike ride to Carbon Waterfall. Here you will get the chance to swim in the pool of the falls and enjoy its refreshing waters. If you decide to stay for a second night, you will be able to visit some of the nearby beaches, such as Puerto Viejo and Punta Uva.
