Casa Calateas

Casa Calateas is situated in the midst of Talamanca’s lush tropical forest near Cahuita National Park, about a 4 hour drive (215km/140 miles) from San Jose.  The lodge offers 2 rooms with private bathroom and 2 with shared bathrooms, and 1 chalet with 2 double rooms, private bathrooms, and private balconies.  All rooms offer beautiful views of the forest so that you can spot birds and wildlife right from your room.  Other services include a restaurant, walking trails and community tours.  The community tours include a 2 day rural tour that allows guests to get a glimpse into the cultural and natural dimensions of the community, and a 2 day bird watching tour where visitors have the opportunity to spot raptors on various nature walks.
