Agro-ecological farm and Flor de Paraíso Environmental School

You will get an authentic first-hand experience while learning all about organic agriculture during your stay at this agro-ecological farm. La Flor del Paraíso is an organic farm school that is dedicated to the teaching of agro-ecological practices, located just above the Orosi Valley in Cartago Province. Additionally, you’ll be able to receive Spanish lessons while at the farm as well as participate in workshops and attend courses regarding reforestation. During their stay, guests are encouraged to participate in volunteer work related to the school’s conservation projects; these include the regeneration of 10 hectares of rainforest, developing environmental education programs in some of the local rural schools and putting together social projects to further the experience in organic farming as well as in sustainable development.
