Finca Cielo Verde Coffee Tour

This coffee farm is located in Monteverde, a region famous for its mystic cloud forests. This community, secluded on a 1400 meter-high (4594 ft) plateau, was founded in 1951 by a group of North American Quakers. Although some of the original virgin forest was cleared for farming, the founders’ environmental consciousness together with help from private organizations, led to the creation of a biological preserve that hosts one of the richest ecological systems in Costa Rica.
Finca Cielo Verde is part of the balance maintained by the Monteverde community between farming and the preservation of natural resources. During the 2 hour tour of the farm, you will witness the entire process of coffee production, starting from the collection of coffee beans all the way up to their roasting. You’ll get the chance to take part in each phase of the process, accompanied by an expert bilingual guide throughout the entire tour.
