Bio coffee Tour

La Finca Sol Colibrí is located in Santa Maria de Dota, and is an organic farm dedicated to the cultivation of coffee in a sustainable way. To complement this tour you will visit the ecological coffee processing plant, Beneficio Montañas del Diamante.

The tour starts in the Finca Sol Colibrí, where visitors are welcomed in a warm and comfortable environment. With an introductory chat about the project, you will start the tour as we walk along a trail called El Paso de los Bueyes through a secondary forest where the birds and vegetation present themselves. As you exit the trail you will encounter the Coffee plantation that is of great biological interest in eliminating the idea of conventional coffee growing. As you continue things only get more interesting as we turn to an interesting project called the Tour de la Conciencia, where you will learn about the conservation efforts.

The tour continues with a visit to the Beneficio Ecológico Montanas del Diamante, where you can observe the whole coffee making process step by step, from harvest to packaging. You will also learn about the environmental qualification and grading process.

The Idea of this tour is to teach the visitor about the importance of producing organic coffee by means of first class environmental technology so that we can protect our natural resources.
