Museum of Indigenous Cultures (Sarapiquís Neotropical Center)

The Museum of Indigenous Cultures (Sarapiquí’s Neotropical Center) is a lodge/ museum modeled after a 15th Century aboriginal village. It provides visitors with an outline of indigenous culture and history, providing an introduction to the natural history of the country. You will be able to visit Tirimbina Reserve or La Selva Biological Station after visiting this Neotropical Center. It will enhance your experience of Sarapiqui by giving you all kinds of interesting information about the people who inhabited the region so long ago. During your visit, you may take a glimpse at an authentic banana plantation (receiving explanations about banana production processes) and an authentic archaeological site.
