make yourself comfortable and get ready to experience the
most interesting attractions and highlights of Costa Rica!!
The Costa Rica
Verde, especially designed to be a first introduction to the
country’s attractions and life style, allows you to
get a general sample of this small land, its natural heritage
and its people. This program runs on a fixed departure basis.
Day
1:
Meet & Greet
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be assisted inside the
terminal. Then transfer to your hotel. Overnight at
Fleur de Lys or Britannia hotel.
Day 2:
Transfer to Arenal
(B) Departure towards the country’s
northern region. On the way you will visit the Poas Volcano
which boasts the second largest crater in the world, and offers
visitors sweeping vistas of Costa Rica’s most beautiful
landscapes. Afternoon visit to the Ecotermales Hotsprings
for a relaxing dip and opportunity to explore the hot pools
set amongst ornate gardens. Overnight at Lomas del
Volcán hotel.
Day 03:
Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge
(B,L) The Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge
and the Rio Frio are biological humid areas considered to
be one of the richest in biological diversity in Costa Rica.
Located near the Nicaraguan border, this area is a birdwatcher’s
paradise, and offers abundant marine and wildlife viewing
opportunities. Return to La Fortuna by mid afternoon. Overnight
at Lomas del Volcán hotel.
Day 04:
Transfer to Monteverde
(B) Departure towards Monteverde, along the
way we will visit the majestic Arenal Volcano National Park,
home of Costa Rica’s most active volcano. Once in Monteverde,
you will have the afternoon at your leisure to enjoy optional
activities or simply to relax amid the misty cloud forest. Overnight at Cloud Forest Lodge.
Day 05: Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve
(B) Guided walk in the Monteverde Cloud Forest
Reserve. This 26,000-acr e reserve is home to more than 100
species of mammals, 120 species of reptiles and amphibians
and 2,500 species of plants, including 420 different kinds
of orchids. Afternoon at your leisure to relax or to engage
in exciting optional tours and activities (not included /
at an extra cost) such as the butterfly garden tour, the cheese
factory tour or the popular Sky Walk and Sky Trek. Overnight
at Cloud Forest Lodge.
Day 06:
Transfer to Punta Leona Hotel
(B) Departure to Punta Leona hotel on the
Central Pacific coast. In the afternoon, tour to the Sky Way
which combines hanging bridge s with walks along nature trails
that snake their way through tropical rainforest. Overnight
at Punta Leona hotel.
Day 07:
(B) Visit to Carara National Park, a low
mountainous area that forms a transitional zone between the
dry northern forests and the lush rainforests of the south.
After visiting the park you will have the opportunity to visit
nearby Jaco Beach, or return to the hotel to rest enjoying
the beach and sun. Overnight at Punta Leona hotel.
Day 08:
Transfer Out
(B) Departure to the International Airport.

located downtown hotel Fleur de Lys or Britannia (both are
small boutique properties)
- 2 nights at Lomas del Volcan hotel
with splendid view of the active Arenal Volcano
- 2 nights at Cloud Forest Lodge surrounded
by scenic cloud forest vistas.
- 2 nights at Punta Leona Hotel, strategically
located next to the Carara National Park
- English Speaking guide throughout the
tour for option A
- Transportation depending on the option you choose: with private transportation in small group departures, private transportation with a driver only, and car rental (car insurance not included on the price)
