SCUBA DIVING

Using a tank of compressed gas (self contained breathing set) you can experience the mysteries of the marine world like never before. With the proper equipment and guides you can swim for extended periods of time underwater, observing the beauty of this mysterious world. You will get to see live coral, hundreds of species of fish, dolphins, turtles, and much more. A PADI license is required. Diving lessons are also available under request. Drake Bay and Caño Island are among some of the best places for scuba diving; if you are lucky, you may even be able to spot whales. Other spots include Playa Hermosa, Playa Ocotal, and Playa del Coco in Guanacaste.

SCUBA DIVING IN NORTH PACIFIC: The best places for scuba diving in the North Pacific are the Catalina Islands. Located 6 miles from Conchal Beach - about 35-45 minutes away from Tamarindo - the Catalinas are a complex of 8 islands with underwater rock formations, offering an ideal setting for scuba diving fans. The diving rank is from 40 to 80 feet (12 to 25 m.), which means that you will be able to go down to some volcanic rock deposits that attract a variety of species. A PADI license is required. Contact us if you are also interested in scuba diving lessons.

SCUBA DIVING IN SOUTH PACIFIC: The South Pacific waters, especially those surrounding the Drake Bay, are without a doubt amongst the three best scuba diving spots in the country (if not the first ones). A dive master will accompany you during the whole tour, experiencing the marvels of underwater diversity. Manta rays, Snappers, Trumpet fish, Hammerhead Sharks, White tip reef sharks, and sea turtles can be spotted in these waters. The average depth ranges from 60 to 80 feet. Scuba Diving Tours include equipment (tanks, masks, fins, and snorkels). Ask us for more information on open water diving lessons.
