KAYAKING IN COSTA RICA

In regards to kayaking, you will have the opportunity to travel through Costa Rica's pristine oceans and rivers. Paddling on a kayak is an ideal way of exploring the marine and coastal ecosystems of the country; its unobtrusive nature lends itself to spotting marine wildlife. As you paddle through the Pacific or Caribbean coastlines of Costa Rica, you'll have the chance to catch a glimpse of the breathtaking environment that thrives both below and above the ocean's surface. You will be accompanied by a knowledgeable guide who will point out interesting sites and will provide you with all kinds of fun details. You will surely learn a great deal about Costa Rica's coast and have a memorable experience to take back with you. You may find good kayaking spots in Manuel Antonio, Punta Uva, Puerto Viejo, Playa Tambor, Jaco, around Caño Island and pretty much any beach that offers a beautiful view.

KAYAKING AND SNORKELING AT PUNTA UVA: You will be able to experience the soft sea breeze as you paddle around Punta Uva, Manzanillo Beach and Gandoca-Manzanillo Wildlife Reserve. This last refuge offers approximately 10,950 marine acres and protects more than 5 square kilometers of coral reef along the coast. A local guide will accompany you the whole time and will point out any spots of interest. You will be able to enjoy snorkelling during the tour and have the chance to swim above the vivid coral. Additionally, you will be able to snorkel around some deeper spots and explore cracks, caverns and a whole lot more. You’ll enjoy the great species diversity of the region and see many tropical fish as well as other life forms. PACIFIC COAST: While kayaking in the Pacific, you will have the opportunity to travel across the province’s pristine Pacific coastline. OUTRIGGERS: You will be able to enjoy the breathtaking scenery as you paddle across the Pacific coast surrounding the Jaco area in state of the art kayaks or canoes. Not only will you be able to enjoy beautiful ocean landscapes but you can also spot monkeys along the shores. In addition, you will be accompanied by knowledgeable guides who will point out interesting sites along the way. The canoes are made of fiberglass so that you can row with ease and peace of mind, knowing that you are using top-notch equipment.

DAMAS ISLAND: You’ll get to experience the Damas Island Estuary and Mangrove ecosystem while paddling in an open-seat kayak. Spend 2 ½ hours paddling with the current as your guide reveals the protected inland waterways of the Damas Estuary and mangrove habitat.
