HANGING BRIDGES

In regards to our hanging bridges activities, visitors who love nature can enjoy these treks above the ground and enjoy a unique way to explore the natural landscapes of Costa Rica. We’d like to let you know that the bridges have been built to ensure maximum security for their visitors. You will be guided by a naturalist and will be introduced to the fascinating and colorful natural history of the tropical rainforest world. The height of the hanging bridges lends itself perfectly for exploring the tall cloud forests of Monteverde and Arenal.

ARENAL HANGING BRIDGES:Visitors who love nature can enjoy these 15 bridges spanning in length from 5 to 100mts along a 3km forest circuit of trails built within a 250-hectare reserve of primary forest. The bridges have been built to ensure maximum security for their visitors. You will be guided by a naturalist and will be introduced to the fascinating and colorful natural history of the tropical rainforest world. You can enjoy the breathtaking vistas of Arenal Volcano from the hanging bridges over the forest, making it all an unforgettable experience. The duration of the whole tour is about 4 hours.

MONTEVERDE SKY WALK:This tour involves a hike across a combination of suspension bridges and platforms built within the cloud forest. These offer an opportunity to explore the forest canopy in a safe and easy manner. The tour includes 2.5kms of trails and six treetop level suspension bridges across deep canyons. The longest bridge is about 243 meters (800 feet) in length.

SELVATURA PARK:You will have the chance to stroll across the bridge system and peacefully admire the wonders of the virgin cloud forest from the level of its canopy. Selvatura’s hanging walkways are an example of state of the art bridge engineering and construction. They feature some of the most advanced techniques when it comes to weight support and other safety measures. This tour is designed for people of all ages so all the family can join in. The trail of this tour is made up of 8 bridges of various lengths, ranging between 150ft (50mts) up to 510ft (170mts); their altitudes range between 36ft (12mts) up to 180ft (60mts). The total length of the tour is about 1.8 miles (3kms). All bridges possess a width of 5ft, making them not only the most comfortable bridges but also the most secure hanging walkways available. All bridges can easily support up to 80 people at a time. Private guided natural history walks are also available at Selvatura and will take you through the trail and bridge system.
