PLAY GOLF IN COSTA RICA

Play 9 or 18 holes on a challenging course in one of the most beautiful settings in the world. The idea of golfing while looking at the ocean, the feel of the breeze, and the relaxation of bathing in the sea or swimming pool right after playing golf, make this country a not-to-miss place for golfers. Golf is a game in which the player attempts to hit a ball into a hole with various types of clubs.  There are several golf coures in Costa Rica.  In Guanacaste and Puntarenas there are courses at Playa Conchal (Paradisus Playa Conchal resort) , Playa Grande (Rancho las Colinas Golf and Country Club), and Playa Herradura (Los Suenos resort).  There are also 4 courses in San Jose including the Cariari Country Club and the Costa Rica country club.

GOLFING IN GUANACASTE: Golfers love practicing this sport while enjoying wonderful ocean views and warm weather. Some of the big resorts and luxury hotels like Four Seasons (Papagayo Gulf), Paradisus Conchal (near Flamingo), and Hacienda Pinilla (south of Tamarindo) feature professional, 18-hole championship golf courses, designed by experts such as Robert Trent Jones II, Mike Young, and Arnold Palmer. Golf guides and caddies are available, as well as rental equipment (golf clubs & golf shoes). Dress codes vary, so make sure you enquire with us before coming!

GOLF AT THE MARRIOTT LOS SUEÑOS: Surrounded by lush tropical forests and bordered on a secluded Pacific cove, the Los Sueños Golf course (6,707 yd) is a great creation of Ted Robinson Jr., matching perfectly natural beauty and challenging golf. This 18-hole championship course is landscaped to include exotic native plants, trees and wildlife. At this “naturally challenging” course, the typical caddie has been replaced with a “Golf Guide”, who has had months of extensive training including daily classes with a local biologist.
