PLAY GOLF IN COSTA RICA

PLAY GOLFWhen it comes to golfing in Costa Rica, you’ll be able to play 9 to 18 holes on challenging courses in one of the most beautiful settings in the world. You’ll have the chance to golf while enjoying the view of the ocean, the feel of the breeze and the relaxation of bathing in the sea or a swimming pool right after. This makes Costa Rica a not-to-miss place for golfers. There are several golf courses available for you. In Guanacaste and Puntarenas there are courses at Playa Conchal (Paradisus Playa Conchal Resort), Playa Grande (Rancho Las Colinas Golf and Country Club) and Playa Herradura (Los Sueños Resort).  Additionally, there are also 4 courses available in San Jose, including the Cariari Country Club and the Costa Rica Country Club.

.

GOLFING IN GUANACASTE:Some of the big resorts and luxury hotels like Four Seasons (Papagayo Gulf), Paradisus Conchal (near Flamingo) and Hacienda Pinilla (south of Tamarindo) offer professional 18-hole championship golf courses, designed by experts such as Robert Trent Jones II, Mike Young and Arnold Palmer. Golf guides and caddies are available, as well as rental equipment (golf clubs and golf shoes). Dress codes vary, so make sure you enquire with Camino Travel before hitting the green.

GOLF AT THE MARRIOTT LOS SUEÑOS:The golf course at this amazing resort is surrounded by lush tropical forests and bordered by a secluded Pacific cove. It consists of a 6,707yd creation of Ted Robinson Jr. that perfectly matches the natural surrounding beauty and offers challenging game. This 18-hole championship course is landscaped to include exotic native plants, trees and wildlife. At this “naturally challenging” course, the typical caddie has been replaced with a “Golf Guide”, who has had months of extensive training including daily classes with a local biologist. Rental equipment (Golf Clubs and shoes) is available at the hotel.
