The different private reserves and National parks offer great camping options for nature lovers. Some of these forests are home to over 100 species of mammals, 120 species of amphibians & reptiles, and more than 400 species of birds. Camping allows visitors the chance to get the ultimate nature experience with no frills involved. Camping is also a great way to take extended hikes that may take more than just one day. There are camping facilities at nearly every national park and many of the beaches including Mal Pais, Rincon de la Vieja, Cahuita and Corcovado.
