Biking TourRide a bicycle through Costa Rica’s beautiful terrain without the confines of a car. What better way to explore the beautiful lush forests than by pedaling by it! Gear yourself up for a challenging ride on a quiet road. This type of tour is recommended for moderately fit travelers. Great places for biking include Manzanillo, Puerto Viejo, Cahuita, Manuel Antonio, Monteverde, Turrialba, Arenal and more.

ARENAL VOLCANO AREA: The best way to explore the beautiful rainforest around Lake Arenal is by pedaling by it! Gear yourself up for a challenging ride on a quiet country road that begins at the lake’s dam, and continues through the gravel roads on the border of Arenal Volcano’s National Park. This tour is recommended for moderately fit travelers.

HACIENDA POZO AZUL: Located in La Virgen de Sarapiquí, 17km from Puerto Viejo, you will find Hacienda Pozo Azul. You will ride through an approximately 30 km long circuit, which goes along back roads, cattle pastures, forest reserves, plantations and across rivers. You will reach the Magsasay Jungle Lodge by the Peje River and adjacent to the Braulio Carrillo National Park. Once you reach this point you will head back to the base on a different route, taking with you the memories of a great day.

IRAZU BIKING TOUR: You will be driven to the Irazu Volcano one of Costa Rica’s most interesting and magnificent volcanoes. From the National Park you will ride down a technical down hill past lush primary forest to the Turrialba Volcano, 3 hours away. The tour will end at one of costa Rica’s only archaeological sites in Guayabo.

GRAVITY ASSISTED CERRO DE LA MUERTE: This ride through Cerro de la Muerte will take you through the Tarrazu region where much of the country’s coffee is produced. The ride will start with a ride through temperate forest and will end at the tropical beaches of Quepos. This ride is rated intermediate / advanced.
