PAYMENT PROCESS

Deposit and balance of payment

Individuals: The payment is due four weeks prior to arrival date. In the event of a reservation received after 30 days prior to arrival date, full payment should be sent as soon as Camino Travel confirms the request. Certain hotels may require additional deposits to guarantee space, especially during the high season.

Camino Travel will advice the client if any additional amount is required. Important: a copy of the deposit with the client’s invoice or reservation number must be sent by fax so that Camino Travel knows the deposit has been made.

Groups: The groups will be confirmed in writing based on the requests. A deposit of the 50% over the total amount invoiced is required 6 weeks before the group arrival. Full payment should be sent 30 days prior to arrival date. Certain hotels may require additional deposits to guarantee space, especially during the high season. Camino Travel will advice the client if any additional amount is required. Important: a copy of the deposit with the client’s invoice or reservation number must be sent by fax so that Camino Travel knows the deposit has been made.

Cancellations and refunds

Cancellations must be received in writing a minimum of 30 days prior to arrival. In such cases, the deposit will be refunded, less a handling charge of US $ 100 and the guarantee deposits to hotels and tour coordinators. Camino Travel is not responsible for non-recoverable expenses incurred by trip members in preparing for a cancelled trip, such as non-refundable advance purchase hotel, transfers, tours, etc., nor for any necessary additional arrangements should the applicant have embarked prior to the departure date. The following conditions apply to cancellations received after making the balance of payment for individuals as for groups:

  • 20 days prior to arrival, 30 % of the total amount is subject to forfeiture.

  • 19 to 11 days prior to arrival, 50 % of the total amount is subject to forfeiture.

  • 10 days prior to arrival, 100% of the total amount is subject to forfeiture.

Certain hotels may have more strict cancellation and refund policies. These vary according to each hotel and depending on each circumstance.

We highly recommend our clients to purchase trip cancellation insurance.
